Metal Display Trays

Display trays in metal, made to your dimensions and your colours. A metal tray is for a workshop or a trade counter rather than a retail one — it is durable, it cleans, and it is unforgiving of anything polished laid directly on it.

What it does

A tray is the working surface of a counter. It comes out of the case, goes on the counter in front of the customer, and holds the pieces still while they are looked at.

Metal on a display tray, specifically

A metal tray is for a workshop or a trade counter rather than a retail one — it is durable, it cleans, and it is unforgiving of anything polished laid directly on it.

Getting the proportion right

Slot layout is the whole decision — how many, what for, and how they are grouped. A ring tray with a row of slots serves a different sale from a mixed tray with one of each.

How metal display is made

Metal display is formed and plated or powder-coated rather than covered. The finish is decided at the plating stage and cannot be adjusted afterwards, so the sample matters more here than on any wrapped material.

Where it is used

Counter selling, safe storage and trade-fair stands.

Metal under case lighting

A polished metal display throws hard reflections and will bounce a spot straight back at the customer. Brushed and matt finishes are the usual specification in a lit case; polish belongs in a window where the light is controlled.

The mistake to avoid

A tray that holds too many pieces stops being a presentation and becomes storage. Trays that come out of the case should hold what you intend to show.

Why metal

Metal display — brass, gold finish, black or silver — gives the thinnest possible support. A metal stand almost disappears, which is the point: the piece appears to float.

Wipe with a dry cloth. A brushed finish hides handling better than a polished one.

Frequently asked questions

Can display trays be made in our brand colour?

Yes — the metal is matched to a Pantone reference or a physical swatch, and confirmed on a sample.

What sizes do display trays come in?

They are made to your dimensions. Slot layout is the whole decision — how many, what for, and how they are grouped. A ring tray with a row of slots serves a different sale from a mixed tray with one of each.

Is metal a good choice for a display tray?

A metal tray is for a workshop or a trade counter rather than a retail one — it is durable, it cleans, and it is unforgiving of anything polished laid directly on it.

What goes wrong most often with display trays?

A tray that holds too many pieces stops being a presentation and becomes storage. Trays that come out of the case should hold what you intend to show.

Can display trays be made to match our boxes?

Yes — the same metal and the same colour across boxes and display, ordered in one run.
