Two slots, two widths
A men's band is commonly wider and heavier than the partner's. A pair of identical slots will hold one well and the other loosely.
We cut the two slots to the two widths you give us. If the box is for stock rather than for a named couple, give the range each side has to cover and the cut is set to hold both ends of it.
Spacing and the ceremony
The distance between the slots decides whether two hands can take two rings at once. Set close together they look like a pair; set apart they are easier to lift under pressure.
This is a decision worth making deliberately if the box is sold specifically for the ceremony rather than for the counter.
Flat formats
A wide flat box with the bands side by side presents the pair as a pair. A taller box with the bands stacked is more compact but shows one ring at a time.

Engraving inside the lid
A date, a pair of names or a short line inside the lid is a common request. On a lacquered lid it is engraved; on leather or leatherette it is foiled or debossed; on a fabric lining it is a printed card.

Can one box hold two very different band widths?
Yes — the two slots are cut separately. Send both widths, or the range each has to cover.
Do you make band boxes to match an engagement ring box?
Yes. The same material, colour and logo across both. Order them together so the run matches.
Can the box be engraved for a specific couple?
Engraving is done per box, so it suits made-to-order rather than stock. Tell us the text and the position and we will show it on the sample.
What lining suits a plain band?
A plain metal band has no stone to protect, so the choice is about presentation. A pale lining lifts white metal; a dark lining makes yellow gold read warmer.
