Custom Jewellery Boxes, Made to Order

Chung Ngai is a Hong Kong manufacturer of custom jewellery boxes — ring, necklace, bracelet, earring and pendant boxes made to each jeweller's own design, with your size, material, lining and logo, since 1971. We work in velvet, leatherette, lacquered wood and rigid finishes, with flexible minimums for independent jewellers, designers and retailers.

What is a custom jewellery box?

A custom jewellery box is a presentation or packaging box made to a jeweller's own specification rather than bought from stock — sized to the specific piece, finished in chosen materials and colours, and carrying the jeweller's logo. Because it is made to order, the fit of the insert, the lining and the feel of the lid are decided by the brand.

For a jeweller, the box is the first thing the customer touches and the last thing they keep. It protects the piece, holds it in place, and tells the customer what the piece is worth before the lid is even opened.

Types of jewellery boxes we make

Chung Ngai makes the full range of jewellery packaging to order:

Materials & finishes

The material sets the feeling of the box the moment it is picked up:

You choose the finishing: a hot-stamped or debossed logo in gold, silver or blind; a magnetic closure with a quiet snap; a fitted insert cut to hold the piece still; and a lining colour matched to your brand.

Made to your brand

Every Chung Ngai box is built to your brief: your size, your lining, your colour, your logo. You send the piece dimensions and your brand details; we recommend the structure and materials, then make a sample for you to hold before anything goes to bulk.

Two things our clients say matter most are built into how we work: the bulk order matches the sample you approve, and there is no minimum forcing you to over-order.

Minimum order quantity (MOQ)

There is no single fixed minimum. The right quantity depends on the box — its structure, materials and whether it needs its own tooling. For fully custom jewellery boxes, quantities are agreed per project rather than dictated as a blanket factory rule, so a smaller independent brand is not pushed to buy stock it does not need.

How ordering works

The path from first message to finished box is simple:

Why Chung Ngai

Chung Ngai is a family-run maker of jewellery and watch packaging, working from Hong Kong and southern China since 1971 — now in our second generation. We have stood behind every order for over fifty years and met jewellers face to face at international fairs across five continents.

For you that means a real maker you can see and speak to, boxes assembled and checked by hand, one transparent all-in quote, and production that matches the sample you approved. In a trade where the box increasingly does the selling, that reliability is what keeps jewellers coming back.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order quantity for custom jewellery boxes?

There is no blanket minimum. For fully custom jewellery boxes the quantity is agreed per project, based on the structure, materials and any tooling required — so smaller jewellers are not forced to over-order. Tell us your run and we will advise the most economical way to make it well.

Can you make jewellery boxes with our logo?

Yes. We hot-stamp, deboss or blind-emboss your logo in gold, silver or your chosen finish, and match the lining and box colour to your brand. Your size, lining, colour and logo are all made to order.

How much does a custom jewellery box cost?

It depends on the size, material, finish and quantity. Premium rigid, velvet and lacquered boxes sit well above basic stock boxes because of the materials and hand-finishing. We quote one clear, all-in price up front, including packing, so there are no surprises on arrival.

Do you make ring boxes, necklace boxes and earring boxes?

Yes — ring boxes, necklace and pendant boxes, bracelet and bangle boxes, earring and stud boxes, set boxes and travel cases, each with an insert made to hold the specific piece.

Do you make a sample before the full order?

Yes. We make a physical sample (usually within about 7–10 days of confirming the specification), then a pre-production sample that you approve. The bulk order is held to that approved sample.

Do you supply jewellers and retailers worldwide?

Yes. Chung Ngai has supplied independent jewellers, designers and retailers internationally since 1971 and ships worldwide. Contact us with your brief for a quote.
