What does not change
Tooling. The cutting die, the deboss die and any mould are held for your job, so a reorder of the same box uses the same tools and there is nothing to make again.
Construction and dimensions do not change either. What you approved is what the run is measured against, every time.
What does change
Dye lots, on any dyed textile. Two lots of the same colour are close and not identical, and the difference is visible when boxes from two runs sit on a shelf together.
Printed materials shift less, and manufactured materials like leatherette shift least of all — which is the practical argument for them on a programme that reorders.
Ordering in one run against ordering in instalments
One run removes the dye-lot question entirely and it is the right answer where storage allows. Instalments spread cost and introduce variation, and that trade should be made deliberately rather than by default.
Retained samples
We keep a retained sample from your run so a later order can be matched against a physical reference rather than a number. Keep one at your end too — it is what you compare a delivery against.
Checking a repeat delivery
Open boxes from the middle and bottom of the shipment, not just the top carton, and compare them against your retained sample under your own shop light. Tell us early if something is off; early is far easier to resolve than months later.
Planning around the season
Packaging is bought ahead of the selling season, not into it. A late reorder is a missed season rather than a late delivery, and that is the thing worth putting in a calendar.
