How a run is packed
Boxes are packed in inner cartons and then in export cartons. Fragile constructions — anything with a raised lid, an exposed hinge or a soft-sided wrap — are packed with more separation than a plain rigid box needs.
Tell us if the cartons will be broken down and shipped onward to shops. That changes how the inner packing is planned.
Air against sea
Air is quick and expensive; sea is slow and economical. For a full production run sea is usually the sensible route, with air kept for samples and for anything genuinely urgent.
The right split is usually samples by air and the run by sea, with the run planned around the sailing rather than the other way round.
What survives freight and what does not
Rigid board and leatherette hold their shape through handling. Soft-sided boxes and untreated hide are the ones that arrive marked, and they need either heavier packing or an outer carton.
Cold and humidity both matter. Extreme cold makes some adhesives brittle; humidity marks linings in storage more often than in use.
Planning lead time
Lead time on any given job depends on the construction, the tooling and the freight route, so we give you a date when we quote rather than a general figure. Build the sailing into your own calendar rather than into the last week of it.
Storing what arrives
Keep boxes in the carton they arrived in until they are used, off the floor and out of direct sun. Most lining damage happens in storage, not on a counter.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, from Hong Kong.
Should I ship by air or by sea?
Samples by air, the run by sea, in most cases. Air on a full run is rarely worth what it costs.
How should I store boxes before use?
In the carton they arrived in, off the floor and out of direct sun. Most lining damage happens in storage.
Can you pack for onward shipment to individual shops?
Yes, if you tell us at quotation. It changes how the inner cartons are planned.
