Jewellery Packaging for the UAE

Gulf retail is a gold market first. That changes what a box has to do — the pieces are heavier, the suites are larger, and the presentation is expected to match the value of the metal. These are the things we adjust for jewellers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

Gold changes the interior, not just the look

A 21k or 22k suite is heavier than an 18k equivalent and the pieces are usually larger. A slot or a pad cut for a Western 18k range will not hold them.

Send the heaviest piece the box has to take. Weight matters as much as dimension — a heavy necklace in a light board box will shift the box itself when it is carried.

Suites rather than single pieces

Gulf selling is weighted to sets — necklace, earrings, bracelet and ring presented together. That makes the parure tray the format rather than the exception.

A suite tray is drawn to the set. We ask for photographs of the pieces laid out the way you want them shown before the tray is cut.

Heat and humidity

A box that crosses the Gulf in summer sees conditions a European box does not. Adhesives, foils and hide all behave differently at sustained high temperature.

Leatherette and rigid board are the most stable. Where real hide is specified for a Gulf counter we will say so and suggest the finish that holds up.

Presentation weight

Gulf counters expect a box that feels substantial. That usually means a rigid construction with a weighted lid rather than the light board formats that suit a European gift counter.

Frequently asked questions

Do you ship to the UAE?

Yes — we ship worldwide from Hong Kong, and the Gulf is one of our established markets.

Can boxes carry Arabic as well as English?

Yes. Bilingual logos and lid cards are common. Send the artwork in both scripts and we will show both on the sample.

Do you make boxes for gold suites?

Yes. A full suite tray is drawn to the specific set — send photographs of the pieces laid out.

Which materials hold up in Gulf conditions?

Leatherette and rigid board are the most stable at sustained high temperature. Suede and velvet are fine inside; untreated hide on an exterior is the one to think about.
