Anklet and Body Jewellery Boxes

Anklets, body chains and piercing jewellery are a growing category with packaging needs that do not map onto a standard ring or necklace box.

Anklets are long and light

An anklet is longer than a bracelet and lighter than a necklace. A bracelet box is too short and a necklace box leaves it swimming.

A dedicated long channel with a keeper is the answer, sized to the anklet rather than borrowed from either.

Body chains

A body chain is a connected set of chains that tangles faster than anything else in a jeweller's stock. It needs either a wide flat tray where it can be laid out, or a wrap format where it is rolled rather than folded.

Piercing jewellery and hygiene

Piercing pieces are small, easily lost, and customers expect them sealed or at least individually seated. A tray with individual wells, or small sealed sachets inside a presentation box, both address it.

Where the piece is intended for a fresh piercing, the packaging convention is a sealed unit rather than an open presentation.

Small pieces disappear

Anything under a centimetre is easy to lose in a box cut for a larger piece. A well sized to the piece, in a contrasting lining, is what stops a customer thinking the box arrived empty.

Frequently asked questions

Do you make anklet boxes?

Yes, with a channel sized to the anklet and a keeper for the clasp.

How do you stop a body chain tangling?

Either a flat tray where it lies out, or a wrap format where it rolls rather than folds.

Can piercing jewellery be packed individually?

Yes — individual wells in a tray, or sealed sachets inside a presentation box.

Why do small pieces need a contrasting lining?

So the customer can see the piece. A small item on a same-tone lining reads as an empty box.
