Lacquered wood Necklace Busts

Necklace busts in lacquered wood, made to your dimensions and your colours. A wooden bust is machined from solid or from a shaped core, so the form is exact and repeatable. It also cannot be adjusted after tooling, which makes the sample stage more important here than on a wrapped bust.

What it does

A necklace bust is a shaped form that holds a necklace the way it sits on a neck. It is the only display that shows a piece at its working shape — flat on a tray, a necklace reads as a line; on a bust it reads as a necklace.

Lacquered wood on a necklace bust, specifically

A wooden bust is machined from solid or from a shaped core, so the form is exact and repeatable. It also cannot be adjusted after tooling, which makes the sample stage more important here than on a wrapped bust.

Getting the proportion right

Height decides what it suits. A short bust presents a choker or a pendant at eye level in a counter case; a tall bust is for long chains and for window work where the piece has to be seen from standing height.

How wood display is made

Wood is machined and finished rather than covered, so the shape is cut from solid or from a veneered core and then sealed. That makes tolerances tighter than on a wrapped form, and it makes changes after tooling more expensive.

Where it is used

Counter cases, window displays and trade-fair stands.

Wood under case lighting

A satin-sealed wood surface throws a soft reflection that reads warm, which flatters gold and works against platinum. A matt seal removes most of that and is the safer specification for a mixed-metal case.

The mistake to avoid

A bust that is too wide at the shoulder pushes a short necklace out of shape. Match the bust to the shortest chain you will show on it, not the longest.

Why lacquered wood

Lacquered wood display has weight and it makes a sound when it is set down. It reads as furniture rather than as a prop.

Dust dry. A gloss lacquer shows fingerprints under window lighting; a satin lacquer does not.

Frequently asked questions

Can necklace busts be made in our brand colour?

Yes — the lacquered wood is matched to a Pantone reference or a physical swatch, and confirmed on a sample.

What sizes do necklace busts come in?

They are made to your dimensions. Height decides what it suits. A short bust presents a choker or a pendant at eye level in a counter case; a tall bust is for long chains and for window work where the piece has to be seen from standing height.

Is lacquered wood a good choice for a necklace bust?

A wooden bust is machined from solid or from a shaped core, so the form is exact and repeatable. It also cannot be adjusted after tooling, which makes the sample stage more important here than on a wrapped bust.

What goes wrong most often with necklace busts?

A bust that is too wide at the shoulder pushes a short necklace out of shape. Match the bust to the shortest chain you will show on it, not the longest.

Can necklace busts be made to match our boxes?

Yes — the same lacquered wood and the same colour across boxes and display, ordered in one run.
