Microfibre suede Ring Cones

Ring cones in microfibre suede, made to your dimensions and your colours. A cone in suede can be covered without a bias cut, so the seam is finer and often invisible. It is the cleanest-looking cone we make in a fabric.

What it does

A ring cone is a tapered post that a ring is slipped over, so it hangs at the widest point that fits. It shows a ring the way a finger does, without a finger.

Microfibre suede on a ring cone, specifically

A cone in suede can be covered without a bias cut, so the seam is finer and often invisible. It is the cleanest-looking cone we make in a fabric.

Getting the proportion right

Taper angle decides the range. A steep cone takes a narrow band range and holds it high; a shallow cone takes everything but sits every ring low.

How microfibre suede is applied to a display form

Microfibre suede has a short, even nap and no grain direction to match, so it wraps a compound curve more cleanly than velvet and shows fewer joins. That makes it the default on shaped forms.

Where it is used

Counter cases, window centrepieces and multi-ring rows.

Suede under case lighting

Suede reads matte and even, with none of the sheen shift you get across velvet as you move around a case. Under LED spots it holds one tone from every viewing angle, which is why window dressers ask for it.

The mistake to avoid

A polished cone lets a ring slide down under vibration. On an open counter, a matte or a soft-covered cone holds better.

Why microfibre suede

Microfibre suede is the working surface of most modern counters. Short nap, matte, and it does not shed onto a polished piece.

Brush with the nap. It recovers from handling better than velvet and is the safer choice for display that is moved every day.

Frequently asked questions

Can ring cones be made in our brand colour?

Yes — the microfibre suede is matched to a Pantone reference or a physical swatch, and confirmed on a sample.

What sizes do ring cones come in?

They are made to your dimensions. Taper angle decides the range. A steep cone takes a narrow band range and holds it high; a shallow cone takes everything but sits every ring low.

Is microfibre suede a good choice for a ring cone?

A cone in suede can be covered without a bias cut, so the seam is finer and often invisible. It is the cleanest-looking cone we make in a fabric.

What goes wrong most often with ring cones?

A polished cone lets a ring slide down under vibration. On an open counter, a matte or a soft-covered cone holds better.

Can ring cones be made to match our boxes?

Yes — the same microfibre suede and the same colour across boxes and display, ordered in one run.
