What teal does for the piece
A blue-green that reads contemporary and photographs strongly, and one of the few saturated colours that does not look seasonal. It is a deliberate brand colour rather than a default.
What teal shows
Little at depth. Like navy and forest green it darkens toward black under warm shop light, so it should be approved under the lighting the shop actually uses.
Which metals and stones teal suits
Silver, white gold and pale stones, which it lifts. ⛔ Not behind turquoise, aquamarine or blue-green tourmaline, where the ground takes the stone's colour.
Why lacquered wood
A wood carcass built up in layers of lacquer and polished back to a piano finish. This is the heaviest and most formal thing we make.

Lacquer is engraved, or carries an inlaid metal plate. Foil does not bond reliably to a polished lacquer surface.
Cutting the interior in lacquered wood
The interior is a separate lined tray dropped into the carcass, so the lining material is chosen independently of the shell.
Dust with a dry microfibre cloth. Polish only with a product made for lacquer.
