What a ring boxe has to do
A ring box holds a single ring upright in a fitted slot so the stone faces the customer when the lid opens. Two covered pads sit side by side with a cut between them; the ring is pushed down into the cut and the foam closes on the shank under its own spring.
Why Pine & Crimson
A pine shell over crimson velvet is closed restraint and open theatre. The contrast is the product — it is what the customer remembers.
Getting the interior right
The cut is set to the widest shank the box has to take. A slot cut for a 1.5 mm band will not seat a 4 mm signet, and a slot cut for the signet lets the band lie over. Give both extremes if the box covers a range.
Where it belongs
Seasonal and gift-led selling, and brands that want the opening to land.
The mistake to avoid
The measurement most often left out is the height of the setting. A raised solitaire needs clearance under the lid, and without it the lid presses on the stone.
Worth knowing before you commit
A strong interior colour reflects onto the piece. Crimson will warm a white metal slightly; that is either the effect you want or the one to avoid.
Leatherette (PU)
Leatherette is a polyurethane skin over a woven backing. It gives the grain and the weight of leather at a consistent colour, batch to batch — which matters when a jeweller is reordering a house box for years.

Frequently asked questions
Can the Pine & Crimson series be made in a different colour?
Yes. The colour shown is the standard for the series; exterior, lining and stitching are all specified per order. Send a Pantone reference or a swatch and we match to it, then confirm on a sample.
What logo methods suit leatherette (pu)?
Leatherette is the most forgiving surface for a logo. Hot-stamp, blind deboss and metal plate all sit well on it, and a fine typeface holds its detail.
What do you need to make a ring boxe?
The widest shank width, the height from the base of the shank to the top of the setting, and whether the box has to take a range or a single width.
Can I see it before ordering?
Yes. A physical pre-production sample is made to your specification and the bulk run is held to the sample you approve.
